The real approach to Feng Shui, the Traditional one!

Many years ago I first heard about the beneficial effects of Feng Shui, they instantly caught my interest. So I started researching and buying all the books I could find on this subject and buying various items recommended in those books, such as mandarin ducks and nine peonies for harmony in relationships or frogs with money in their mouths and Chinese coins for prosperity, etc.

These objects were supposed to do magic, and in my life everything will be perfect. To my surprise, I did not see any change. Convinced that Feng Shui must work, I kept thinking about what I was doing wrong… maybe the books weren't enough, or maybe I didn't read the right ones, maybe the objects weren't appropriate, or maybe they weren't int the appropriate place.

To find out the answers to all these questions, I started looking for courses on Feng Shui, and to my surprise, the prices of the courses had a very wide variety, starting from 300 lei and reaching up to 900 EURO. Why were there such differences? What was special about the more expensive courses? Well, there is only one way to find out! Let me participate in one of these myself.

What did I learn in my first Traditional Feng Shui class? 

In 2011 I participated in my first Traditional Feng Shui course taught by Grand Master Raymond Lo. The course took place over seven days and included a beginners and an advanced module.

During this course, my questions seemed to be answered one by one and I will list a few "news" in the following:

• Feng means WIND, and Shui means WATER;
• Feng Shui is a science that appeared over 6,000 years ago and studies the movement of energies;
• I found out about the "School of form" which refers to everything we see with the naked eye, starting from the configurations in the natural environment (mountains, hills, waters, etc.) to the objects we have in the house (the shapes of furniture, accessories , colors, etc.)
• We have learned that there are nine energies that influence the space in which we live or work;
• Traditional Feng Shui is based on mathematical formulas;
• We found out the formulas for flying stars, because there is the "Flying Star School" through which we find the disposition of the nine energies;
• I learned what each energy represents;
• At the same time I found out what a Luo Pan is (compass - the indispensable tool for establishing the influence of energies);
• I understood the concept of Yin-Yang much better;
• I learned about the Cycle of Birth and Destruction of the five elements: fire, earth, metal, water and wood;
• I first heard the notion of trigrams;
• I found out that there are three periods and nine epochs, and one epoch lasts 20 years (now we are in Epoch 8, from 2024 we enter Epoch 9)

I wanted to mention some of the things about Feng Shui that I found out on my first contact with the discovery of this science because that was the moment that dismantled many myths about Feng Shui, accumulated until then.

Although there are many Feng Shui schools with many approaches, I am glad that lately Traditional Feng Shui has "gained as much ground" as possible, due to the fact that people have seen the benefits of applying "calculated" Feng Shui!

I have been using Feng Shui for more than nine years and it has always confirmed to me the "bad" and the "good".
